Richard Kelly was the star of a debut at the gun cotton, a layered and complex film, ideal to be remembered for years to come. Unfortunately, this promise was never followed by a real confirmation, and after years of silence has followed the halting Southland Tales. Now several years after that magnificent debut here peeping The box , fantasy-thriller from the lame artistic value. Beyond the love of Kelly to the questions left open (which centers the handicap of Cameron Diaz, which centers on the fact that Frank Langella was working for NASA), the film has a hypnotic pace, which unfortunately is becoming more confused just when dissolving the knots of narrative should be clearer.
