It's called the Air (original Up in the air) and is the last great film starring George Clooney in a smell Oscar. Forget the comfortable and sunny comedy in which a self-centered and selfish protagonist discovers the world and the beauty of human beings through love doing fine, here we are somewhere else. the Air begins with a series of interviews with real men and women who have really lost their jobs, to continue with the history of man more just universe, who dismisses the very people for work. He laughs, but the lips are not ever extended, but perpetually contracted in a forced smile. The disappointment as a faithful companion, the bitterness of life as a necessary corollary, the solitude of the same key value. A new beginning, the first day of our new life. A life of petty philosophy, benefits illusory hopes and ready to break. There is no rest and peace for those who, like Charon, are doomed to ferry the souls of the damned and hell itself on the river Styx. Our lives, our new life starts here, the acceptance of a condition with no way out. Loneliness. Surprising, always measured, and the very human good George Clooney, hiding behind a smile, lays bare the fragility able to shake the anyone deep. We are little men on the road, attacked with small meaningless things, like never before this moment, lost in time, space and meaning. Among the best films of the year.
THE PLOT IN TWO WORDS
The simple life of a troubled man who runs America laying off workers of all ages, sexes and backgrounds, is shaken by a series of small but radical change.
THE SCENE THAT IS THE FILM
The final gloss of unostraordinario extraordinary film.
ANGLE CONCEPTS
intriguing actor George Clooney is eclectic and extraordinary. Besides having played five sets of ER (the best series in the history of tv), one of his films stand out Out of sight (beautiful film Soderbergh), Three Kings (personally I love it), Fail safe (starordinario), the number of Ocean's (with high and low) , Syriana (Academy Award for Supporting Actor), Brother Where Art Thou? (weblog Coen brother), Michael Clayton (underrated and very good) and especially Good Night and Good Luck (overtime and his second film director). For director Jason Reitman this is the third film after entertaining cynical Thank you for smokin 'and the solar and overrated Juno . For those of you who were wondering where they've already seen Clooney's girlfriend, Vera Farmiga it is that we recognized early on in The Departed (sopravvalutatissimo River weblog Scorsese film) and Orphan (orroraccio to forget).
